By creating an account or using birdtripping.com you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Your account

• You can sign up with email or with Google. Keep your login secure — you're responsible for activity on your account.
• Provide accurate information and don't impersonate others.
• You may delete your account at any time from your profile page.

Location and GPS features

Live Birding uses your device's GPS when you allow it. GPS accuracy depends on your device and surroundings, so routes, distances and elevations are estimates. Demo mode shows a simulated route that is not saved as real distance. Always pay attention to your surroundings, respect private property and follow local rules.

Your content

You own the checklists, photos, notes and other content you add. You give us permission to store and display it to provide the service (for example, showing a shared session to the people you share it with). Don't post content that is unlawful, harmful or that you don't have rights to. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Guides and bookings

Guides are independent operators, not employees of Bird Tripping. Guides are responsible for their tours, safety and the accuracy of their listings. A platform fee is included in listed prices. Guides write their own cancellation rules, shown on the tour page and at booking.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Guides receive a 25% deposit of their price at booking and the remainder after the tour is complete.

The payout mechanism is being set up; this is the payout schedule policy.

If the guide cancels for weather or safety, you're offered a new date or a full refund.

Refunds follow the guide's cancellation policy, minus the card processing fee.

Booking Guarantee

If your guide doesn't show, cancels, or the trip clearly isn't as listed, we refund you in full or help you rebook. Report within 72 hours of the trip start. A full refund under the guarantee includes the card processing fee. How to report a problem.

The first trip with a client who found you on Bird Tripping is booked through Bird Tripping. After that, you're welcome to book that client directly.

Bird and hotspot data

Bird sightings and hotspot information come partly from eBird and other third parties and may be incomplete or out of date.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bird Tripping is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service or from tours booked through it.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms or suspend accounts that break them. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
